Interview
PA ~ When did you take up your artistry and how long have you been involved with it?
I started with guitar early in life but gave it up. I soon became interested in ambient music but I only listened to it as a fan. After many years I decided to try it myself despite having only a guitar background. Keyboards and electronics were new to me but I have been doing it for about 3-4 years.
PA ~ Musically, how would you describe your sound/genre?
Ambient and electronic
PA ~ What gravitated you toward your artistic work?
The need to express emotions, thoughts and spiritual feelings through a medium that at first appears to be very static (electronics).
PA ~ Who are your influenced by?
Steve Roach, Robert Rich, Jonn Serrie, Tangerine Dream, Paul Ellis, Brian eno
PA ~ I understand you have a CD "Flow Mingled Down", what is the listener / viewer in store for?
Ambient and electronic music that varies in style between each song. The style varies from Berlin School to deep space to ambient to retro all in the same CD.
PA ~ How is the CD being received?
I have received positive feedback including a very positive review by veteran electronic reporter and review Bill Binkelman.
PA ~ Do you have a favorite composition on the CD?
My personal favorite is "Within, Still" This is probably the most subtle piece on the CD but also the one with the most emotional impact for me.
PA ~ Any other projects or follow ups in the works presently?
New material is in the works but in the very early stages
PA ~ Do you perform solo or normally with a group?
Solo
PA ~ Give us your thoughts on the indie music scene good and not so good.
The Internet and the indie scene is awesome as it has allowed so many people to hear music they would normally never be able to hear.
PA ~ What was the best piece of advice you ever heard that motivates you in pursuit of your artistry?
Steve Roach was kind enough to send me an e-mail and he told me that "it does not matter if you know what you are doing as long as you are doing from the place inside that just feels right"
